Stop the Damage — Then Fix It Right
When water is coming through your ceiling at 9pm, you don't need a sales pitch. You need someone to answer the phone, get out fast, and stop the damage from getting worse. Wilson Roofing's emergency response covers every situation that can't wait until next week — active leaks during a storm, hurricane and tropical storm damage, fallen trees on the roof, wind-blown shingles, and any condition that's exposing your home to additional damage.
Our emergency response is two-stage: an immediate stabilization (tarp, temporary patch, or board-up) so the damage stops, then a scheduled permanent repair with full documentation for your insurance claim. We work with all major Florida carriers and provide the photos and reports adjusters need.

If It Can't Wait, We Respond
Active water intrusion during a rain event. Hurricane and tropical storm damage including missing shingles, displaced ridge cap, and torn flashing. Wind-driven debris damage. Fallen trees or large branches on the roof. Lightning strike damage. Any condition that's leaving your home open to further water or wind exposure. Our crew brings tarps, temporary patches, and the equipment to stabilize the situation safely before the next weather event compounds it.
When your roof can't wait, neither do we. Emergency tarping, temporary patches, and rapid permanent repair across our service area.
Photos and Reports That Work for Your Carrier
Storm damage claims live or die on documentation. We arrive with cameras, document the damage thoroughly before any tarping or temporary work, and produce a written report with photos that meet adjuster requirements. We've worked with most of the major Florida carriers and know what they need to see. We'll work directly with your adjuster if you'd like — or hand you the file to manage yourself.
Emergency Roofing FAQ
For active emergencies during business hours, we typically respond within hours. After-hours and during major storm events, response times depend on weather safety and call volume — but emergency calls always take priority over routine work. Call 941-422-1737 and let us know what's going on.
Move valuables and electronics away from the leak. Place buckets to catch water. If safe to do so, take photos of the damage from inside and from the ground outside (do not climb on the roof). Don't attempt to tarp the roof yourself — improperly anchored tarps cause more damage when the wind catches them.
Most homeowners insurance policies cover reasonable emergency stabilization to prevent further damage — that's the entire point of the coverage. We provide receipts and documentation that support the claim. Your specific coverage depends on your policy, so confirm with your carrier when you report the claim.
During an active named storm, we don't put crews on roofs — it's unsafe and against industry standards. As soon as the all-clear is given, we mobilize emergency response. We pre-stage materials and tarps before forecast storm events so we can move immediately when conditions allow.
Brad, Mark and the roofing crew were incredible installing a new roof and resetting our skylights after a terrible storm. They did so with professional workmanship, timely execution.
